Sunderland director Neil Fox departs the Stadium of Light

Neil Fox is no longer a director at Sunderland.

According to Companies House, Stewart Donald’s right-hand man is no longer a director of Sunderland Limited, the company which owns the freehold of the Stadium of Light.

He has also resigned as a director of the club and several other associated companies - 1879 Events Management, Sunderland Ladies, Sunderland AFC. com, SAFC .com, and Sunderland Properties. All effective as of December 31, 2020.

Fox was appointed as a director in September 2018, having spent the summer working several days each week on the financial restructure of the club.

He is also a director of several other companies along with Donald, including Bridle Insurance.

Fox's departure is another sign that the Kyril Louis-Dreyfus takeover process is close to being finalised.

The club released a statement on Christmas Eve saying that they expect to process to be completed by the middle of January.
