Sunderland confirm new date for Lincoln City's visit to the Stadium of Light

Sunderland's game in hand against Lincoln City has been rescheduled for mid-January, the club has confirmed.

The Black Cats will face the Imps at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday, January 11, with kick-off at 7.45pm.

The League One fixture was originally due to be played on November 13 but was postponed due to international call-ups.

It was the third Sunderland game this season to be called off due to international call-ups, with the visit to Sheffield Wednesday in early September having been moved to early November, and the home game against Oxford United that had been scheduled for November eventually being played earlier this month.

Sunderland have already beaten Lincoln this season, winning 2-1 at Sincil Bank in the EFL Trophy back in October when Dan Neil and Stephen Wearne were on target against Michael Appleton's side.
