Sunderland's season card holders will have to wait until August for refunds for the three home games cancelled following the decision to cut short the 2019-20 League One season.
The club has announced the refund process for supporters who are due refunds for the three home games - against Shrewsbury Town, Accrington Stanley, and Peterborough United - and for any fans who bought tickets for any of the away games which were also cancelled.
The refund process will take place in three phases, but season card holders have been left until last - a move that is bound to upset supporters who are already unhappy at the way the club has handled the issue.
Phase one of the process will allow fans who had bought individual match tickets for any of the three home games to claim a refund, with that phase running from next Monday until Friday, July 17.
Phase two is for fans claiming refunds on tickets for theaway games, and runs from Monday, July 27, until Friday, August 7.
Phase three is for season card holders claiming refunds for the three unfulfilled home games, and that begins on Monday, August 17, and runs until Friday, August 28.
Refunds for all three phases will be processed as a credit balance on fans' online ticketing accounts.
Fans must login and input the bank details for the account that they wish to receive the refund, and those details must be registered before the final day of each applicable phase.
In a statement, Sunderland said their commercial team is in the process of contacting commercial clients to outline the options available to them.
The Stadium of Light Box Office remains closed to the public at present.
The statement concluded: "We would like to once again thank supporters for their continued patience and understanding throughout what remains an incredibly challenging time for us all."
