Sunderland Airshow has a zone dedicated to Fab ice lollies and it looks a lot of fun

While of course the big attraction of Sunderland Airahow is the action happening in the sky, there is also plenty going on on the ground.

And the award for the most random thing to see this year has to be the Fab ice lolly zone!

Always a massive draw, even when the weather is slightly dodgy, Sunderland Airshow is back by the coast from July 26 - 28, with loads planned for in the sky and on the ground.

Here is a guide to the planes at Sunderland Airshow - including RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and Fireflies display team, and if you are planning on heading to Seaburn to get a closer look, you'll want to be Airshow parking and how to get there by Metro and bus.

There also a brilliant Airshow music lineup this year, including first night headliners Scouting for Girls.

They'll be on at Cliffe Park, but over the road in Seaburn Recreation Park is the Fab Zone.

Entry is free and you can weave your way in and out of a maze of giant Fab lollies because taking a turn on an indoor slide and ball pit.

There's also a tunnel to crawl through and a posing board where you can stick your head through and pretend you are in fact a Fab ice lolly!

Unfortunately, there won't actually be any Fab ice lollies given away during Airshow weekend although you can pick up coupons to get some.
