BHOPAL: Bhopal on Sunday experienced intermittent rain with varying intensity right through the day. Rainfall was also recorded in several other places in the state.
Rainfall activity will further go up in the state after Tuesday due to fresh formations active over the Bay of Bengal, said Met officials.
Meteorological department, Bhopal circle said, the monsoon trough is passing over from Sidhi and there is a cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan leading to rain in MP. A low pressure area is developing over the Bay of Bengal which could bring widespread showers in the state.
Day temperature in Bhopal was recorded at 28.7 degree Celsius, a degree less than the normal mark, while night temperature was 23.6 degrees, a degree above the normal. Wind direction was southwesterly with an average wind speed of 14 kmph.

(7.4mm), Jabalpur (6.2mm), Gwalior (0.4mm), Sheopukalan (17mm), Khargone (15mm), Shajapur (3mm), Guna (0.4mm) and Malanjkhand (11mm).
In the forecast for Bhopal on Monday the meteorological officials said that there could be partly cloudy sky with a possibility of rain and thunder. Day and night temperature would be at 30 and 23 degrees respectively with an average wind speed of 16 kmph.
In the forecast for state, the meteorological officials issued warning of heavy showers for places including Betul, Harda, Khargone, Dhar and Burhanpur districts. Warning of thunder and lightning was issued for Jabalpur, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Gwalior, Indore and Ujjain divisions.
