May 29--Ben Zobrist extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a three-run home run in the third inning Sunday to help the Cubs extend their winning streak to five with a 7-2 victory against the Phillies that completed a three-game sweep before 41,575 at Wrigley Field.
It marked the 34th consecutive start in which Zobrist has reached base.
Miguel Montero also homered and drove in two runs. Kris Bryant also had a pair of RBIs to help the Cubs improve their baseball-best record to 34-14.
At the plate
Anthony Rizzo, who had three hits in his previous 41 at-bats, had two hits and an RBI.
On the mound
John Lackey (5-2) allowed a run, four hits, four walks and struck out six in seven innings for the Cubs.
In the field
Zobrist helped turn a nice 4-3 double play to end the Phillies' fourth inning.
