CLEVELAND _ Most of this series between the Indians and the Toronto Blue Jays will have to wait until May 3.
After Saturday's game was postponed due to inclement weather, Sunday's game fell to the same fate with heavy rains expected for most of the day. Both games will be made up on May 3 as a traditional doubleheader starting at 1:10 p.m.
The Indians have an off day on Monday before a two-game series with the Minnesota Twins to be played in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Corey Kluber was originally slated to start Saturday's game, followed by Josh Tomlin and Carlos Carrasco. Though, due to two rainouts and two off days within the next week, the Indians could shuffle their rotation.
The Indians and Twins will be able to carry a 26th player on the active roster for that series due to the possibility of an injury and the logistical issues of replacing him with lengthy travel required to the island. Since the Indians will have had three consecutive days off heading into that series, they could carry a positional player, with outfielder Greg Allen being one of the stronger candidates to receive the promotion.
