The body of an 18-year-old has been recovered from the water at a Scots country park.

Police rushed to the scene at Mugdock Country Park in Milngavie shortly after 6pm on Saturday, March 19.

Witnesses reported seeing the emergency services, including fire service vehicles with boats attached, race up Strathblane Road.

McCoo artist Steven Brown 'bankrupt' over £1m of unpaid debt after ‘overstretching’

The artist behind the iconic McCoo artwork said he is bankrupt after the business went bust over £1million of unpaid debt .

Dozens of staff and suppliers lost thousands of pounds between them when Ayr-based Steven Brown Art Limited shut up shop.

But Brown, the painter who created the colourful artwork , is back working for a new firm which bought the rights to his images.

Savage Scots knife killer changed name after prison release before attacking new girlfriend

A killer who murdered his long-term partner was able to attack his new girlfriend because he changed his name to conceal his real identity.

Scott Storey, 56, was out on licence from prison for the fatal knife attack when he tried to grab an axe to hit his new partner, who knew nothing of his past.

His traumatised ex-lover is now demanding the closure of a loophole where dangerous offenders can legally change their names.

Scots petrol station with incredible range of snacks and treats goes viral on TikTok

Another incredibly stocked petrol station in Scotland gone viral on TikTok .

Twin brothers Kevin and Kieran D’Arcy, who post on their foodthirst_ account on the video platform, shared footage of their trip to Racetrack Pitstop in Bearsden .

The pair use their account to uncover a string of hidden gems across Scotland.

Russians slaughter fleeing gran in hail of bullets as boys scream in car behind

A fleeing Ukrainian family helped into Poland by an heroic Labour MP have revealed how they came under rocket attack after making the agonising decision to escape, leaving two dads and a teenage son to fight for Kyiv.

Vasily and Nina Shiripa were with their daughters and two young grandsons , in separate cars with the words "civillians" scrawled in paint on the side, with white flags flying from the car windows.

However, just 15 minutes outside of Kyiv they moved out of the way of a Russian armoured car before it opened fire on the family – launching a rocket and unleashing a hail of bullets.
