Sunday's best bets on TV

TRACK AND FIELD

The biggest race in the world is also the fastest. Sunday is when we learn whether Usain Bolt of Jamaica can accomplish a triple, winning the 100 meters for a third straight time. His main adversary is Justin Gatlin of the U.S., who had the fastest time in the heats. Another big race will be the men's 400, which features LaShawn Merritt of the U.S., Kirani James of Grenada and Wayde van Niekerk of South Africa. James is the defending champion.

GYMNASTICS

Simone Biles returns to center stage after winning the all-around and leading the U.S. to the team gold. She'll be competing in the women's vault as competition moves to the various apparatus. She will not compete in the women's uneven bars, her weakest event. The men will award medals in the floor exercise and pommel horse. Sam Mikulak and Jake Dalton are the best hopes in the floor exercise for the U.S.

GOLF AND TENNIS

Combining the two country club sports on Sunday, you can find Justin Rose of Britain and Henrik Stenson of Sweden atop the leaderboard at the Olympic Golf Course. Back at Olympic Park, it'll be Andy Murray of Britain and Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina going for the men's singles title. Both sports didn't really deliver the star power that would have given them more prominence.
