With 28 congregations around the world the Sunday Assembly is looking to branch out further with a global launch on Sunday 28 September. From Hungary to New Zealand 35 new congregations will join the mission to ‘Live Better, Help Often and Wonder More’.
Whether you attend services in Newcastle, San Diego or Canberra we’d like to hear your experiences and stories of the Sunday Assembly. Have you been attending since its foundation or are you venturing out for the first time on Sunday? What do you love most about Sunday Assembly and why would you recommend it to others? Also if you have any photos of your congregation or where your services are being held we’d love to see them too.
Initially called the ‘atheist church’ the Assembly calls on communities to gather together to celebrate life in a church without God. Though not exclusive to atheists services include songs, talks, readings and moments of reflection. Involvement doesn’t stop there though with “smoups” (small groups) meeting outside services for socialising and volunteering.
