Sundance Film Festival: London has teamed up with Picturehouse to announce the line-up for this year’s online edition.
The original event was cancelled owing to the coronavirus outbreak, but film fans can take part in the virtual festival from August 7-9.
There will be three movies presented during the festival, with the UK premiere screenings accompanied by an exclusive Q&A session with filmmakers.
Things begin on the Friday with Uncle Frank, which is directed by American Beauty producer Alan Ball and stars Paul Bettany.
Zeina Durra’s Luxor starring Andrea Riseborough will be screened on the Saturday, before Boys State plays on the Sunday. The latter won the US Grand Jury Prize: Documentary at the 2020 festival.
There’s also a short film programme featuring UK premieres of eight works, as well as free to watch Q&As and discussions between independent filmmakers.
Tickets for the festival are on sale today, costing £20, though Picturehouse and Cineworld Unlimited members can buy tickets for £14. They can be bought here.
