Sun reporters expose baby-smuggling racket

An eastern European gang has been exposed by The Sun for trying to sell babies to childless British couples. The paper's "Baby For Sale" front page today tells how the gang drug youngsters before smuggling them to Britain from the Czech Republic. It also claims that one of its undercover reporters, who had posed as a wealthy banker, was offered a nine-month-old baby girl, Karolina, for £79,000. Scotland Yard police travelled to Prague last week and, together with local officers, mounted their own undercover operation. As a result, three men were arrested and the child was rescued.
