Given that much of the Sun’s recent politics coverage has been focused on demolishing Jeremy Corbyn, Lib Dem leader Tim Farron must have been delighted when the paper offered to let him write a comment piece.
Run in a prominent slot next to the editorials, the piece attacking “mad” school holiday rules is backed by case studies and a shot of Farron pointing his finger decisively.
All great news for Farron, who has hardly been deluged with press attention until now.
But sadly for the Lib Dem leader, the piece is bylined “Tim Fallon”.
Fortunately Farron managed to see the funny side, tweeting “it’s my pen name”.
