Summer's not over yet as Paisley gets set for scorcher this weekend

It may be September but it’s not quite time to pack away the shorts and sunglasses yet as temperatures are set to soar this weekend.

Buddies will need to dig out their sun cream from today right through till Sunday as temperatures reach 23 degrees.

According to the Met Office, the sun will shine starting this afternoon and carry on right until Sunday before the rain returns.

Today will the mercury climb as the day goes on, topping off at 21 degrees at 5pm.

Saturday will be much of the same, with temperatures peaking in the mid-afternoon.

The Met Office website says: “It will remain dry with long spells of unbroken sunshine through the day, just a little patchy cloud in the far west later where it will stay windy. Very warm with maximum temperatures of 23 °C.

On Sunday theer will still be some bright warm weather but cloudier at times with some heavy showers.

“Monday mostly dry and bright. Rain followed by sunshine and heavy showers on Tuesday.”
