It's always nice to see already-established brands give a leg up to up-and-coming designers. See Self-Portrait's residency that began with Christopher Kane and Larroudé's program that just launched with footwear architect Chloe Gosselin. Now Mango is following suit by creating MANGO COLLECTIVE to highlight emerging talent. First up is Supriya Lele x Mango.
Fashioned by British-Indian designer Supriya Lele, the collection is called A Summer Reverie. Fitting since it contains everything required for steamy summer nights. These pieces are definitely made for flaunting with the strategic use of sheer fabrics and "sensual" details. There's no shortage of party dresses, from a light purple gathered dress with satin finish to a black knitted dress with a feathered hem. There are plenty of other summer staples. Like swimsuits that can be dressed up at night, a shredded lyocell shirt, a satin crop top with matching midi skirt and even transparent vinyl wedges. Prices run from $45.99 to $349.99.
