Summer fun lined up at M&Ds theme park

Visitors to M&D’s Scotland’s Theme Park are being invited to set sail this summer for some swashbuckling pirate themed fun weekends.

Launching on Saturday, June 25, every weekend over the summer holidays until Sunday, August 14, visitors can look forward to free family entertainment, which changes every weekend, as well as the opportunity to explore the Theme park’s pirate themed rides and attractions.

This Saturday and Sunday visitors can meet the stars of Neverland including Tinkerbell, Captain Hook and Peter Pan between 12pm and 4pm. There will be free pirate and fairy face painting as well as free pirate themed arts and crafts, with prizes each day for the best dressed pirate and fairy.

Each weekend there will be special offers, which can be purchased online in advance, such as buy one ticket at Devil’s Island Golf and a friend goes free, and free pirate treasure for every child bowling at Cosmic Bowl (available August 6 and 7).

Visitors will also be able to enjoy the pirate themed rides including Captain’s Curse, the Dancing Galleons, Rip Tide, the Pirate Train as well as a new attraction, Walk The Plank Sky Trail which launches at the end of July.

There will even be a Pirate Island Beach where you can dig for treasure in search of special pirate coins and choose some booty from the pirate treasure chest.

Jensen Taylor Connelly, M&D’s said: “We’re looking forward to a great summer and have designed a feast of entertainment to provide families and visitors a great day out.”

Entry into the Theme Park is free and visitors can find out each weekend’s entertainment by visiting www.scotlandsthemepark.com

Located at Strathclyde Park in Motherwell, M&D’s Scotland’s Theme Park is packed with many attractions, including Amazonia, Devil’s Island Adventure Golf, Cosmic Bowl, and Krazy Congo Soft Play, as well as new rides, suitable for all age groups. There are also many food outlets to enjoy, from snacks to meals, and a Beer Garden which is open daily from 12pm until late.
