And so the new Standard has set sail. Mark Pack has been charting its early progress and found it to have lurched leftwards to take a centre right-ish course. Today, Simon Jenkins buys a kite and urges Sir Alan Sugar to take Boris on. Progressive London alleges panic in the anti-Livingstone camp. But what I want to know is why all mention of London Labour's director Ken Clark telephoning Sir Alan was removed from the version of Friday's Sugar scoop in the paper's second edition. What could the explanation be?
