Sugar Bowl reflections: The best Twitter roasts of Clemson and Dabo Swinney

Look, I have to admit, I feel a slight bit oily about this. We don’t often rail on opposing head coaches, but this one feels warranted. That’s because Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney, in his holier than thou outlooks and opinions, felt the need to criticize (yes Clemson fan, it was critical whether you want to believe it or not) Ohio State and what it had to endure during a global pandemic.

Swinny on more than one occasion said the Buckeyes didn’t belong in the College Football Playoff, and even ranked them No. 11 heading into the matchup in the Sugar Bowl. Thanks for the bulletin board material Dabo, and we’d like to know how that worked out for you.

Regardless, the Clemson head coach was publicly flogged virtually on social media after the game for his smugness and inability to keep his pie-hole shut leading up to the game. Something that many felt contributed to the absolute thrashing the Tigers received in New Orleans on Friday night.

Now that the dust has settled from that game a wee-bit, we thought it’d be fun to provide you with some of the best Dabo Swinney roastings the internet sensation app called Twitter had for the Clemson head man. So, here you go, have fun pouring through these.

Hopefully Dabo has learned a lesson on this whole gamesmanship thing.

And if you think it didn’t matter what Swinney said to the Ohio State players themselves, get a look at what a couple of them responded with after the beatdown.
