Suffering continues for alien labourers

As the deadline to register alien labourers nears this Saturday, nearly 9,000 migrants nationwide have been struggling to seek work permits through online registration to extend their stay until March, 2020.

Labour Minister Adul Sangsingkeo said Tuesday a total of 8,947 migrant labourers across the country, including 4,100 who work in Bangkok, have so far enrolled via the Department of Employment's (DOE) website, www.doe.go.th, to secure their work permits.

The online registration, which has been available from Monday, will run until this Saturday, the last day to submit a request for work permit.
