Suede to play at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall as part of 2023 tour

Suede have delighted fans by announcing huge headline shows as part of a new 2023 tour.

The rock band will be coming to Liverpool as part of their tour next year. Tickets go live today at 9am via See Tickets and Ticketmaster for their new shows which will begin in March next year.

The band, consisting of singer Brett Anderson, guitarist Richard Oakes, bass player Mat Osman, drummer Simon Gilbert and keyboardist/rhythm guitarist Neil Codling, will perform at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall on March 18, 2023. The Beautiful Ones' singers will also be heading to Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, London and more as part of the new tour.

It comes after the band announced their forthcoming album, Autofiction, which is out now. Fans who pre-ordered the album and are also signed up to O2's Priority have been able to get pre-sale access for the new shows, ahead of the general sale taking place today (September 16).

The news follows a pair of secret shows Suede performed under the guise of Crushed Kid, an idea that saw Suede taking the ‘back to basics’ nature of Autofiction to the extreme by playing live under a fake name. After sparking rumours following a week of mysterious online activity, including releasing new music under the moniker, Crushed Kid made their debut performance at London's 300 capacity MOTH Club, followed by a set at Manchester’s Deaf Institute.

"Autofiction is our punk record,” Brett Anderson said. No whistles and bells. Just the five of us in a room with all the glitches and ****-ups revealed; the band themselves exposed in all their primal mess."
