Sue Radford: Mum of Britain's biggest family shows off huge back-to-school shoe order

The mum of Britain's largest family has shown she is getting ready to get some of her brood back to school with the help of Clarks.

Sue Radford, 45, shared a photo showing a number of boxes of shoes piled high on the family’s kitchen table.

The busy mum-of-22 from Morecambe in Lancashire, said she bought the shoes on online for nine of kids which has saved her valuable time.

She posted: “#backtoschool. Thank goodness for Clarks online as I wasn’t looking forwards to booking 9 separate slots in store to get these.

“Although I’m still waiting for more arriving.”

Sue and her husband Noel are mum and dad to Chris, 30, Sophie, 26, Chloe, 24, Jack, 22, Daniel, 20, Luke, 19, Millie, 18, Katie, 17, James, 16, Ellie, 14, Aimee, 13, Josh, 12, Max, 11, Tillie, nine, Oscar, eight, Casper, seven, Hallie, four, Phoebe, four, Archie, two, Bonnie, one and Heidie, four months.

The pair's 17th child Alfie was stillborn on July 6, 2014.

They also have three grandchildren Daisy, eight, Ayprill, five, and Leo, four who are Sophie's children, and teenager Millie is expecting her first baby next month.

Sue, who fell pregnant with her first child at age 13, regularly updates followers with news on the family's YouTube channel.

Last week Sue announced that Millie had gone for her final baby scan last week.

"Millie is going for another scan because she is 36 weeks pregnant tomorrow," Sue said. "This will be the last scan."

Using 4D imaging technology, Millie was also able to get a first look at her baby, who she is going to call Ophelia.

Last week Sue said she had to ferry her kids to the hairdressers in smaller groups so they could get their first haircuts since lockdown.

In a video, uploaded on to their channel, titled "Haircut pamper day for the girls", Sue said: "The boys have all had their haircuts done after waiting for awhile.

"We have to book all the kids in for their haircuts, which is taking forever.

"The wait has just been really bad. They had a long waiting list to get through."

She added: “We’re finally getting the girls’ hair cut today.”

Sue and Noel admitted isolating with their huge 10-bedroom home has been chaotic at times, especially as Sue gave birth to their 22nd child during the lockdown.

Last month, the family went on their first holiday of 2020, visiting Scotland with friends.

Sue and Noel don’t claim any benefits apart from Child Benefit and they rely on their bakery business to make ends meet.
