Anna Richardson and Sue Perkins only see each other when they hand over their beloved dog, it has been reported.
The TV pair have called time on their seven-year relationship after things broke down over when they should have children.
A source close to the couple told the Mirror that Naked Attraction host Anna, 50, hoped to adopt, but her wishes did not align with partner Sue's.
The 51-year-old Bake Off star is wanting to delay expanding their family because of her 'work schedule and travelling.'
They share Tia, an eight-year-old Staffie, and have only been seeing each other when they drop her off.
The pair adopted the rescue dog together in 2017 and both instantly fell in love and will both look after the pup going forward.
It has also been claimed that the former couple have been living apart since the Autumn.
"The only time they see each other now is when they hand the dog over to each other." a source has told MailOnline.
"They haven't spent much together in recent months, they've been living separate lives with Anna staying in Staffordshire and Sue remaining in London.
"'It's really sad they've split, but it's been on the cards for a while - Anna was really keen to be a mother, but Sue just didn't feel it was the right time for her."
Another source also supported the rumour that the TV couple split up some time before the news was reported, telling Mirror Online they did not spend Christmas or New Year's together.
Anna has previously spoken about her desire to adopt in the future.
The presenter learned she was infertile while filming the The Sex Education Show for Channel 4 in 2008.
Anna was 37 at the time and in a long-term relationship with film director Charles Martin.
She told the Daily Mail in 2015: "I think because I'm 45 now I'm thinking long and hard about fostering and adopting. It would be nice to create a little unit."
Social media silence may have hinted at romantic strife between Sue and Anna months before it was announced the pair had split up.
Fans of the funny pair have noted that there may have been signs of cracks for the past nine months as it has been noticed that Anna didn’t reference her other half at all on social media during that time.
Anna last shared an update including Sue in September last year as she celebrated turning half a century old.
