Sudden death of woman, 37, in Townhill after Wales Air Ambulance lands nearby

A woman has died in Townhill after emergency services including the Wales Air Ambulance rushed to the scene on Wednesday evening.

The air ambulance landed at the playing fields in Townhill, and a land ambulance and police also attended.

Police said today a 37-year-old woman had died at the scene and the death was not being treated as suspicious.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "We were called at 6.40pm yesterday to assist with the air ambulance landing at playing fields in Townhill.

"We can confirm a 37-year-old woman died and her death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the HM Coroner."
