Man dies suddenly in Maryhill as police probe unexplained death

Police investigating the sudden death of a man in Maryhill say they are treating his death as 'unexplained'.

Officers were called to the Hinshaw Street area around 3:15pm this afternoon.

There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the 59-year-old.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.15pm on Thursday, 5 November, officers were called to the Hinshaw Street area of Glasgow following the sudden death of a 59-year-old man.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained, however there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
