'Sudden death' of man found in Scots flats investigated as police race to scene

The body of a 47-year-old man was found in a flat in Clydebank yesterday.

Emergency services raced to Erskine View at around 6.15pm on Saturday after reports of the incident.

Multiple police cars, vans and ambulances were spotted in the area at the time of the discovery.

Officers taped off the entrance to the flats whilst investigations were carried out.

Cops said the death is being treated as unexplained, however, there appear to be no suspicious circumstances.

A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called to Erskine View, Clydebank, around 6.15pm on Saturday, 19 November, 2022, following the sudden death of a 47-year-old man.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained however there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
