Sudden death of 37-year-old woman at Linwood high-rise prompts police investigation

A police investigation is underway following the sudden death of a woman at a flat in Linwood.

Officers and ambulance crews were alerted to the scene at a high-rise block on Langholm Drive around 11pm last night (July 20).

Police remained at the scene this morning with one officer stationed outside the Belmar Court block of flats, Renfrewshire Live reports.

Enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the death of the 37-year-old remain ongoing.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 11pm on Tuesday, July 20 we received a report of the sudden death of a 37-year-old woman within a property on Langholm Drive in Linwood.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquires are ongoing.”
