Sudden death of 34-year-old man in Aberystwyth being treated as suspicious

The sudden death of a 34-year-old man at a house in Aberystwyth is being investigated as "suspicious" by police.

Emergency services were called to a house in the Penparcau area in the early hours of Thursday.

They said there reports of a man in cardiac arrest around 4am at a property in Heol Tynyfron.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “The force is investigating the sudden death of a 34-year-old man in Penparcau, Aberystwyth.

“Shortly after 4am on Thursday, 7 May, ambulance crews were called to an address at Heol Tynyfron following a report of a man in cardiac arrest.Sadly he died at the scene."

She added that the man's next of kin and HM Coroner have been informed. "The death is being treated as suspicious and is not linked to Covid-19.”
