Sudanese Foreign Minister Undersecretary Sacked over Qatar Visit Statement

Head of the Transitional Military Council in Sudan Abdel Fattah al-Burhan sacked an undersecretary at the foreign ministry over a statement about a trip from a Qatari delegation.

Council spokesman Shams El Din Kabbashi said Badreddine Ahmed was dismissed over a statement from the ministry that had said preparations were underway for the visit of a delegation from Qatar to Khartoum.

Kabbashi said the ministry had made the statement without consulting the council, state news agency SUNA reported.
