Sudan's military government calls for elections in 9 months

Gunfire is being reported in Khartoum, a day after a military crackdown left at least 35 protesters dead in the Sudanese capital.

The head of the military government says they will no longer negotiate with protesters and have called for a general election within nine months.

Internet services remain down in large parts of the country.
