
Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir arrived in Egypt Tuesday to attend the conclusion of the World Youth Forum held in Sharm El-Sheikh.
He was received by President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi and the two leaders are set to hold a summit in Sharm El-Sheikh.
This is the second visit by Bashir to Egypt since Sisi won a second term in office in March.
Sisi has been hosting the three-day World Youth Forum that kicked off with the participation of some 5,000 youths from throughout the world.
Bashir hosted Sisi in Khartoum in late October
The summit between the two leaders was capped with the signing of 12 cooperation agreements.
Bashir said that Sisi’s visit is a step forward towards “strengthening old ties”.
