Subway worker threatened during Fishponds robbery

A Bristol Subway branch was robbed on Friday evening (April 26).

A worker was threatened and forced to hand over cash from the till at the Fishponds Road shop.

A man entered the store at around 7.55pm and took the employee’s phone, as well as the money, before fleeing the scene.

The member of staff told Bristol Live: “I was frightened; it was the first time I had to face such a situation."

He said the offender was wearing a neck cloth to hide his face.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "We’re investigating a robbery at the Subway store in Fishponds Road, Bristol, which happened at 7.55pm on Friday.
