Subway worker exposes 'behind closed doors' secrets - including how meat is prepared

An alleged Subway employee has revealed what the meat at the chain looks like before it's put into its sandwiches.

Travis, from the US, has racked up more than nine million views on TikTok, where he's known as @travis2official, for exposing the fast-food chain's secrets, specifically how its meat is prepared.

In the first video, Travis tackles the steak, "Just to let y’all know how [it] looks. Behind closed doors."

Travis can be seen holding the brown block of solid meat in all its glory.

The video then cuts to Travis breaking it down with his hands, crumbling it into small pieces as it looks when the customer eats it.

In another video, Travis prepared the tuna as expected.

After putting the flaked tuna into a bowl, he adds the mayonnaise and mixes well.

In the third video of the series, Travis revealed how the chicken teriyaki is made.

The pre-diced chicken, which comes in a large plastic bag, is put into a bowl alongside the teriyai sauce which he combines with his hands.

Since being posted, the videos have racked up millions of likes and comments from viewers expressing their horror at the sight of the meat.

One person said: "TikTok ruins fast food for me."

Another commented: "Subway employees have got to stop posting. I don't want to know what's in it."

Whilst a third put: "Idgaf it tastes good."

Someone else put: "Y'all expect them to have a cow in the back?"

And: "Well it’s shredded steak, what do you expect?" added another viewer.

The Mirror has contacted Subway for comment.
