Subway’s menu now features a vegan pig in a blanket sub - and it looks delicious

Christmas is just a few weeks away, which means it's time to fill our stomachs with festive grub - and yes, that means pigs in blankets, of course.

But, this year why not ditch the meat and tuck into Subway’s latest vegan offering - introducing the fully plant-based P.I.B Sub.

Following the huge success of the 2020 launch of the Tiger Pig Sub (a 6-inch Pig In Blanket served on crunchy Tiger Bread), Subway has launched a vegan version of its festive sandwich: the P.I.B (Plants In Blanket) - clever right?

Subway has spent months developing the fully plant-based P.I.B. Sub, which is packed with delicious flavour, just like the Tiger Pig - and it really is a thing of beauty.

The plant-based sub boasts smoky ‘bacon-like' notes and a sweet maple syrup glaze, served with Heinz Tomato Ketchup, making it the perfect taste of Christmas for vegans.

Those looking for something extra sweet to go with their sandwich as well can also dig into the Vegan Double Choc Cookie for some plant-based goodness.

I mean, who can say no to this vegan double chocolate cookie? (Subway)

The P.I.B. joins Subway’s other popular plant-based options, including the Meatless Meatball Marinara, T.L.C. (Tastes Like Chicken.), Plant Patty, Vegan CheeZe Toasted Bite, Potato Crispers, Hash Browns, Vegan Double Choc Cookie and a range of sauces including plant-based garlic aioli.

But, there’s some sad news about the P.I.B sub. Their latest vegan offering is only available in-store for a limited time across the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton, while stock lasts.

However if you don’t live close, fear not, as Subway’s full Festive menu is available in-store and for delivery until 28th December whilst stocks last.

Want to get money off your next Subway delivery? Well, you’re in luck as you can get £5 off from Just Eat thanks to a handy TopCashback offer.
