Subway have an exciting announcement regarding the Meatless Meatball Marinara

January was bleak and felt like it went on forever. The only thing we managed to get out of it was Veganuary and actually sticking to a resolution for a change.

With Veganuary came a pethora of new food options and one we really enjoyed sinking our teeth into was Subway’s Meatless Meatball Marinara .

Customers flocked to Subway during January to enjoy the vegan treat and it was a limited edition… until now.

Yes that’s right, the plant-based version of Subway’s most iconic Sub is now a permanent fixture to the menu - rejoice hungry fans.

Unprecedented sales success placed the new Meatless Meatball Marinara Sub alongside Subway’s five best-selling menu items; Chicken Teriyaki, Italian BMT, Spicy Tuna, Spicy Italian and the original iconic Meatball Marinara.

Naturally when it first launched loyal Subway fans were quick to declare their love for the mouth-watering, meatless treat, and plead for it to become a regular fixture on the menu – with one Twitter user stating it’s ‘Without a doubt the BEST food I’ve had since turning veggie.”

Colin Hughes, Country Director Subway UK & Ireland, said: “Our guests have told us how much they love our Meatless Meatball Marinara. Now they can get their hands on our delicious plant-based Sub whenever they want, made however they want, whenever they want. All in the knowledge that at Subway, they now have even more delicious vegan options than ever!”

And if that wasn’t enough good news, you can now enjoy the Meatless Meatball Marinara without even having to leave the house, as Subway has expanded it’s delivery roll-out via UberEats and Just Eat partnerships to even more stores across the UK and Ireland.

And this isn’t the only vegan delight you’ll want to sink your teeth into this weekend.

Pizza Hut have launched a new vegan stuffed crust pizza with Violife non-dairy cheese in the crust - excuse us whilst we wipe the dribble away…

After the success of their vegan sausage roll and meat-less steak bake, Greggs have created vegan-friendly hot cross buns just in time for Easter.

Pret have even launched 15 new vegan products on their menu - including two poké bowls to choose from; one replaces tuna with sashimi-style watermelon and the other with spicy tofu instead. Each comes with avocado, edamame beans, pickled cabbage, carrot and radish.

We’re so hungry and the choice is overwhelming.
