Just when you thought Subway couldn't add a single other salad item to its build-your-own set up, the famous sandwich chain Subway goes and has a complete revamp of its menu - introducing more than twenty new ingredients.
And the public are going crazy for it, with one girl posting on Twitter that she's crying over some of the new additions.
While sundried tomatoes, crispy onions and diced beetroot are all joining the salad bar, it's the gluten free and paprika and chilli bread options that are really going down a storm, as well as the improved hickory smoked BBQ sauce.
The fancy-sounding new bread is joined by spinach and sriracha hot chilli sauce, plus improved favourites such as maple cured streaky bacon and free range poached eggs complete with runny yolk, that Subway claims is thanks to a cool new and unique technology that guarantees a perfectly soft yolk every time.
While egg fanatics will be delighted at the new addition, others may be wondering what place a runny-yolk-egg has in their sub. And for those people, Subway has introduced another new menu item: the Tuna Niçoise salad.
Packed with tasty tuna, black olives and topped with that free range poached egg, it's ideal for summer lunching, and arrives alongside another new salad: thai chicken, for those that prefer their health kick to come with a little zing.
There's also two new wraps up for grabs - a vegan signature loaded wrap featuring Subway's warmly spiced vegan patty and vegan garlic aioli in a tomato basil wrap, or for a meatier meal, there's a delicious bbq chicken and bacon signature loaded wrap too.
As of yet there's no word on pricing and if anything in the new selection will set you back more than the standard offerings, but it is already in stores if you want to check the new range out for yourself.
