Subway continue Celtic rivalry as they troll Hoops fan and make Eddie Howe pop in Twitter tease

It's quick becoming a bit of a rivalry and Subway have been trolling Celtic fans on Twitter yet again.

The sandwich company have a social media brand that don't hold back and they provided a spicy response to a Hoops supporter who criticised their company.

The Celtic fan was unimpressed with the news you can now get crisps on your sandwich in Subway, and suggested they'd count each individual crisp because they're so 'miserable'.

And Subway couldn't resist taking a pop back and fired a response on Twitter that also added in a dig about Eddie Howe's potential appointment.

They also urged supporters to go to Ibrox and watch Rangers if they want to watch a good team with a further reply to the same fan.

The incident started when the Celtic supporter tweeted to say: "Knowing @Subway they’ll count the number of crisps as they put them on your sub!! Miserable as they are!!”

Subway responded: “Talking about miserable! Celtic appointing Eddie Howe as the new manager. That’s not even putting crisps on your sub but taking away the meat of your sub. #CrispIn”

After the Celtic fan, with the handle @Bigmaverick1, responded again to say: “If your (sic) looking a decent sandwich the LAST place to go is @Subway.”

The company again replied to add: “If your (sic) looking for a decent game the first place to go is Ibrox Park.”

It's not the first time the sandwich company have trolled Celtic on social media, with them previously having a dig over an Old Firm defeat as well as Kieran Tierney's move to Arsenal.
