Subsea tech firm expands into double its office space in Aberdeen

Subsea technology and engineering company Viper Innovations is to expand its Aberdeen operation into a new base which has double its existing space.

The firm which has been at Moorfield Group’s Innovation Park in Bridge of Don for 15 years has taken a 10-year lease for 2,500 sq ft on the ground floor of Kettock Lodge at the same facility. It has also retained an option on the 2,169 sq ft neighbouring Suite B.

Viper, which has its head office in Portishead, near Bristol, provides electrical cable monitoring technology for across the world in sectors such as subsea and rail.

Director Max Nodder said: "We're a fast-paced business with growth aspirations, so we needed a location which would give us the space to grow, as well providing continuity for our staff. We’ve been based in Bridge of Don for the past eleven years and were keen to remain here – it’s a great location for our business and staff.”

Mark Holmes, head of asset management at Moorfield Group, added: “We've worked closely with Viper to conclude this deal and are thrilled to see them expand here at the Innovation Park."

Knight Frank and Ryden are joint agents for Aberdeen Energy & Innovation Parks .

Knight Frank associate Matt Park said: “This letting is one of several successes that have been achieved at the Energy & Innovation Parks over the last year. It reinforces both the quality of the space available and the customer-focussed approach taken by Moorfield to attract and retain occupiers."
