Subsea consultancy firm appoints first commercial manager

A subsea consultancy firm DiveSource has appointed its first commercial manager to help it capitalise on new international opportunities.

Steve Ham joins from a subsea services and manufacturing company where he was head of commercial services sales. Prior to this, he worked at The Underwater Centre in Fort William.

Ham has more than 17 years of industry experience, with three decades of sales and marketing.

The company headquartered in Westhill, Aberdeenshire operates across the offshore wind, energy and utilities sectors to provide personnel, competency, training and due diligence services.

DiveSource assists clients throughout the entire project lifecycle; from planning, initial survey work to site preparation, installation, and inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) programmes to decommissioning.

Steve Ham said: “I’m thrilled to be joining DiveSource at what is proving to be a very exciting time for the company.

“In addition to servicing the complex needs of our existing clients, we have been presented with compelling opportunities in new and emerging markets for the brand.”

Sarah Hutcheon, managing director of DiveSource, added: “The addition of Steve to our team allows DiveSource to progress towards its next phase of growth, which will see several new initiatives launched within the next few months.

“Attracting someone of Steve’s experience to the business is a ringing endorsement of our strategic growth plans, which will continue DiveSource’s organic growth in key markets.”
