Subcommittee recommends expanding College Football Playoff to 12-team bracket

It’s possible that Michigan State football could go down as one of the few programs to have ever competed in the four-team iteration of the College Football Playoff. On Thursday, it was announced that a subcommittee that was tasked with evaluating future format changes to the College Football Playoff recommended broadening the bracket to 12 teams split between conference champions and at-large bids.

This is a change that I would personally like to see as it would finally gives teams like UCF the chance to sink-or-swim against the premier teams in the country.
