One of Glasgow’s most fashionable dogs has had a lockdown wardrobe upgrade – with a whole room now dedicated to his many outfits.
Rolo, the five-year-old dachshund from Gartcosh near Glasgow, has over 200 bow ties, leather jackets, jumpers and sunglasses to keep him looking fashionable all year round.
Owner Karen Bryce says her stylish pooch has more wardrobe choices than her and has over 16,000 Instagram followers.
During lockdown Rolo received an upgrade from his downstairs wardrobe to a whole room dedicated to his impressive closet.
Karen, 40, told the Daily Record: “Rolo has always worn clothes as he has a skin condition which is common for dachshunds.
“We started an Instagram account and he now gets comments from all over the world.
“He gets support from local businesses and even gets sent things from people in Chicago and Florida.
“He has so much stuff it’s now a full room of the house, it started as a small wardrobe downstairs.
“Rolo’s Grandad helped build it during lockdown.”
Rolo has a range of clothes for different occasions and even some themed costumes including a Star Wars outfit.
Karen continued: “He has more clothes than me!
“During lockdown lots of people said the clothes put a smile on their face.”
Rolo’s followers on Instagram have even started spotting him in the street, making him feel like a local celebrity.
“It’s really starting to take off,” said Karen. “It’s nice to meet other people with similar interests.
“We’ve made friends from Chicago and Florida, they send over things from America and we send them stuff from Scotland.”
Rolo’s Instagram page @king_rolo_b has over 16k followers and hundreds of posts dedicated to his many cutting-edge outfits.
