Stylish Dutch eyewear brand set to open new store in Glasgow's west end

A stylish Dutch eyewear brand are launching a new store in Glasgow's west end this week.

Ace & Tate, based in Amersterdam, will be opening in Byres Road tomorrow (April 18) - their first shop to open in Scotland.

Embracing its new home north of the border, the modernist and artisan style shop is inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, especially his stained glass works.

The brand, which specialises in stylish and affordable lenses, is housed near to some of Glasgow's trendiest independent spots like Hanoi Bike Shop and Oran Mor.

Eye tests at Ace & Tate are free, and the brand's frames and premium lenses start at £98.

They also offer a same-day service, allowing customers to pop in and collect prescription opticals and sunglasses in the space of a few hours.

Founded in 2013 in Amsterdam, Ace & Tate pledges to offer thoughtfully designed, high-quality frames at a fair and honest price.
