Adam Gabbatt, in an article about the withholding of evidence of the existence of unexplained anomalous phenomena (UAPs) by the US government, interestingly notes that the term “UAP” is preferred to “UFO” by “much of the extraterrestrial community” (US urged to reveal UFO evidence after claim that it has intact alien vehicles, 6 June). Clearly, the Guardian has evidence of the existence of extraterrestrials, and should release that evidence immediately.

• My iPhone must be particularly modest (Letters, 7 June). For many years now it has corrected “angry” to “seagull” in all my messages and notes. I can’t tell you how seagull I have become and how glad I am that it will soon stop. Strangely enough, I can write “fuck” as often as I like and it doesn’t react.
