STV Productions has hired Ramy El-Bergamy from Channel 4 as its head of development, daytime and popular factual.
El-Bergamy was responsible for shows including A Place in the Sun and Four in a Bed while commissioning executive, daytime, at Channel 4. He was previously the channel’s on screen diversity executive and has worked on Big Brother and The Voice.

He will help Jim Regan, head of daytime & popular factual, to build on STV Productions’ success which has produced Antiques Road Trip and nine series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip for BBC.
STV Productions is investing £15 million over three years in content and digital and recently appointed Craig Hunter as creative director, factual, from the BBC.
