STV Player is to expand UK-wide after launching on TV platform Freeview Play.
It now means that the 1500 hours of free content available on the VOD service will also be accessible for viewers across the rest of the UK.
The service also becomes the eighth player on Freeview Play's UK lineup, joining BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My5, UKTV Play, CBS Catchup Channels UK and Horror Bites and marks the fourth TV platform STV Player is available on outside of Scotland, alongside Virgin Media, YouView and Freesat.
The move comes as part of STV's strategy to significantly increase the market for its digital streaming platform.
