Stuntman leaps off city centre building roof as Disney film crews return to Manchester

Disney+ film crews have rolled into Manchester city centre, shooting scenes for an upcoming romantic series.

A dramatic scene this week saw a stuntman leaping from the roof of a building onto a neighbouring car park.

It's understood that filming is for new Disney+ scripted series Wedding Season, which will star Rosa Salazar.

The eight-part series comes from Dancing Ledge Productions and Jax Media, the producer behind hit Netflix series Emily In Paris.

It will apparently follow the lives of two mismatched people who can't resist one another, and has filmed in Scotland in recent months.

The crews took over Southgate, the street that runs parallel to Deansgate and between the Kendal's building and the Revolution bar on Parsonage Gardens.

The set includes a retro red Austin Metro car, and appears to show another vehicle crashing into a building.

Extras in police uniforms were seen strolling around the set yesterday.

A massive crane has been put in place in the Back South Parade side-street.

A stuntman was seen swinging from a harness here earlier today, as he filmed scenes of him leaping between rooftops.

Film crews are often seen in Manchester city centre, with everything from Captain America to Peaky Blinders shot here.
