A mural in Harehills has been praised as "the beginning of the change we need”.

She posted a picture on Twitter captioned: “Come on Harehills! This is incredible. More please.”

It is not yet known when the art was done but LeedsLive has made contact with the artist.

“It's stunning,” Anne-Louise said. “It's one of those things isn’t it, especially in lockdown, everyone has had to start walking.”

Anne-Louise also spoke of the murals that she has seen on her walks in Meanwood towards the woods which she called “fantastic”.

She said the artwork was beneficial, adding: “I think there are so many areas people think are scary, we don’t know them or no need for us to go there because they’re not our neighbourhoods.”

Commenting on the post of the mural in Harehills, one person said: “This is just the beginning of the change we need.”

Another said: “Wooo! Amazing to see our Warrior Girl getting some love!”
