A "beautiful" and peaceful village in Scotland has been named the UK's second best place to visit this autumn.
Glencoe was named alongside spots across the country, including Buttermere in the Lake District and Eryri National Park in Wales.
Discussing its ranking, Gareth Allen, Director and Founder of Big House Experience, said that when it comes to choosing a place to vacation, the UK is "spoilt for choice".
He added that there is something to cater to everybody’s tastes and preferences, especially during the colder months.
Why Glencoe village has been named one of the UK's best places to visit this autumn
According to Big House Experience, the wonderful Scottish village was the second "most attractive" destination to visit over the autumn months.
It scored a very good 93 out of 100 when it came to how quickly it caught people's eyes, placing it within touching distance of the ranking's number one entry, Buttermere, which scored 95 out of 100.
The town was praised for providing visitors with amazing views of "rugged and beautiful" landscapes and for the many castles and lochs nearby.
The nearby Glencoe National Nature Reserve has, for a long time, been a popular place to visit for those coming to the village.
On Tripadvisor, one person wrote: "One of the few genuine wildernesses left in the UK.
"Rugged and beautiful, it nevertheless benefits from enough tourist support sites (retail, accommodation, equipment, etc) to mean you are not left entirely on your own."
