Stunning Scottish island holiday cottages go on sale surrounded by some truly breathtaking scenery

Owning your own business is always the dream, but imagine that it means you'll be running it surrounded by some of the most breath-taking scenery and views found anywhere in the world.

Well, a set of holiday cottages that have just gone on the market could be the answer, and yes, they really are set within a true slice of paradise. Beachview Cottages can be found close to the beautiful beaches at Northton on the Isle of Harris and have just gone on sale, either all together or as two lots of properties.

Fast becoming a rival to both the ever-popular tourist destinations of Arran, Skye and Islay, the idyllic Island of Harris and Lewis is home to the stunning beaches of Scarista and Uist beaches, and the picturesque crofting township of Northton. Set within the beautiful west coast of Harris, you'll find the White House, Grandfather’s House and the Fulmar and Gannet Cottages.

Available for offers over £1,350,000 for all four, the cottages can be split up into two lots with the two houses and two cottages being sold separately.

The cottages are surrounded by breath-taking scenery (Galbraith)

Lot one comes with the White House, a comfortable, decrofted main house with extension, and the Grandfather’s House, a charming, decrofted letting cottage. Lot two, the Fulmar and Gannet are two contemporary letting cottages.

Estate agent Galbraith said: "Beachview Cottages is a highly successful holiday letting business. Established in 2009 with 3, 5-star self-catering cottages in this outstanding coastal location.

"The cottages, which are let from April to September, are fully booked each year, however, the opportunity exists to extend the letting season and grow the business further."

The coastline here is dotted with beaches ranging in size from the small to the three miles wide Luskentyre and Scarista beaches, all with stunning views over clear blue seas to the neighbouring islands of the Outer Hebrides.

Galbraith added that each cottage has been "sensitively designed to sit comfortably in the landscape", with each cottage. including high levels of insulation and air source heat pumps which ensure minimal running costs.
