A stunning bird with colours similar to the rainbow - of which there are only two in Scotland - has been captured in wonderful photos taken by a Scots photographer.
Craig Chalmers, 45, took the snaps of the lilac-breasted roller last Friday (July 2) when he was visiting Camperdown Wildlife Centre in Dundee.
Native to Africa, the little animal has been nicknamed 'the rainbow bird' by children visiting the wildlife park who often asking if it's been painted.
Sporting a lilac breast and a spring-green crown, there is two of the magical creatures in Scotland.
Photographer Craig, who is from Dundee, said: "The bird is an African native and there is a pair at the amazing Camperdown Wildlife Centre in Dundee.

"I call it the rainbow bird, because of the colours.
"It's my favourite bird in the wildlife park, I have four photos from last weeks visit I'm happy with.
"It is a very unique bird and it sure draws the crowds."
Usually found alone or in pairs, the roller can usually be found on top of trees where it can spot prey like insects, snails and rodents moving around on the ground.
"Kids love they can't believe the colours, I've heard many call it the rainbow bird or ask if it's been painted.
"It's the colour of the bird, I just think they are stunning.
"To get one out in the open so to speak and with a clear view is rare so I guess that's what makes this one a bit special.
"There are others in some of the other zoo collections but I think these are the only ones in Scotland, although I do believe Chester and Dudley Zoo has them."
