Stunning photos show freestyle jet skiers treating early risers to display near Blyth

Early risers were treated to a daring display of tricks by jet skiers on waves near Blyth.

Freestyle jet skiers Anthony Burgess and Farzad Takaloo made lengthy journeys from Nantwich in Cheshire and Margate in Kenbt to meet Blyth's Cameron Holmes and Jason Ashley, so they could make the most of the waves triggered by recent storms.

Photographer Owen Humphreys was by the North Sea to capture them catching the waves as Farzad, Cameron, Jason and World Champion jet skier Anthony made the most of their Sunday morning.

Owen's photos show the freestyle riders dazzling skill, lifting off huge waves and even flipping their machines mid-air in the early morning light.

Press Association snapper Owen is a regular early riser, who often heads to the Northumberland and County Durham coast in the mornings to capture weather and watersport pics while most of the region is still tucked up in bed.
